Student Research Competition (SRC) Program (for PhD Students)
Note that, in addition to regular papers and posters, a special event for PhD students will be organized: The Student Research Competition (SRC) Program.
Graduate students are invited to submit research abstracts (maximum of 4 pages in ACM camera-ready format) at https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2019/submission_src.html (note that submission sites for regular papers and SRC papers are different.)
Authors of selected abstracts (up to 18 students) will have the opportunity to give poster and oral presentations of their work and compete for three top-winning places. Invited students receive SRC travel support (US$500) and are eligible to apply to the SIGAPP Student Travel Award Program (STAP) for additional travel support.
Student Travel Award Program
The SIGAPP Student Travel Award Program (STAP) will provide financial support for SIGAPP student members to attend SIGAPP primary conference (SAC) to present their accepted work. For details please refer to https://www.sigapp.org/stawards.html
For accepted papers and posters, registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the paper or poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy attending SAC MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for the paper or poster to be included in the ACM digital library. No-show of registered papers or posters will result in excluding them from the ACM digital library.
JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUES
All accepted papers to this SiSoS track of ACM SAC will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to a special issue of a top-level journal.
Also, a selection of best papers of all ACM SAC tracks will be published in the ACM Applied Computing Review journal.
